With dreams of being a photographer, I registered with Louisiana State University to receive a BFA. Photography classes were unfortunately full, so, frustrated, I had to choose a different course. I had no idea that one ceramics class would have such a huge impact on me. The ceramics community was a joy to be a part of, and throwing a pot looked so magical. I immediately changed my concentration. Now, after 20 years of teaching art and ceramics in both private and public New Orleans schools, and working in museum art education, I have decided it is time to get back into the core of what I love, refocus on my art practice and open my own pottery studio.  

It is with joy that I welcome you to my studio to experience the power clay can have and share my  pottery craft with a new clay community. I am looking forward to watching this studio grow and with it, my love for all things hand made.
